Sandy Springs’ Top Home Sales for 2021

Although we keep hearing cries of “There is no inventory!” Sandy Springs saw exponential increases year over year in BOTH number of homes sold AND average sales price since 2018. By far, the largest increase in volume took place last year.  Why?  Historically low interest rates and substantial gains in the stock market were two large contributing factors.

Here is a look at average sale prices and total number of sales over the last 4 years:

Last year alone, the average single family home price as well as total units sold in Sandy Springs both jumped up over 10% from 2020 numbers. Sandy Springs condo prices also show steady increases year over year and never took a dip as they did in neighboring Buckhead during 2020.  In fact, the condo/townhome market has seen much healthier growth in Sandy Springs than in Buckhead during the last 4 years!
