Mt Vernon Woods is a swim/tennis community of 250+ homes in the heart of Sandy Springs. It is located among all of the great dining and shopping at Roswell and Abernathy Roads. Mt Vernon School, which is one of the metro area’s top private schools, and Orbit Arts Academy are part of this neighborhood.  In addition to showcasing fabulous musicals, Orbit is a place where both young and old are trained to act in live theater, film and television. Mt Vernon Woods has a very active HOA which organizes numerous family and adult-only events throughout the year.  They are also actively involved in any zoning issues that may affect the community.

What we Love
This is the only neighborhood we know with community pickleball courts!  These courts were a brand new addition in September, 2021.
What We Don't
While this is a fantastic family neighborhood, it is surrounded by commercial development on all sides and not other residential communities.
