Hammond Park is a large urban park in southeastern Sandy Springs. The park is home to the Hammond Park Gymnastics Center, 2 lighted tennis courts, the Hammond Park Athletic Field, and 2 outdoor basketball courts.
The park also includes two large fenced-in playgrounds, a community center, and 2 picnic pavilions. The pavilions are available on a first come, first served basis, but advance reservations can be made in advance. The largest picnic pavilion can accommodate up to 100 people. The smaller pavilion is inside a fenced area with one of the playgrounds, so you can enjoy a picnic and the playground without worrying about your kids getting too close to the road.

The parking lot on Glenridge Drive provides easy access to the tennis courts, basketball courts, and playgrounds. There is a larger parking lot on Hammond Drive with better access to the sports field and gymnastics center.
