Morgan Falls Overlook Park opened in 2010, and it was the first new park created by the City of Sandy Springs. The first thing you will notice is the huge shaded playground by the parking lot, but your eye will be quickly drawn to the beautiful views of Bull Sluice Lake. The park offers many ways to enjoy nature along the Chattahoochee River.
In the warmer months you can rent paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes from High Country Outfitters from the dock within the park. Bull Sluice Lake is wide slow section of the Chattahoochee River that is formed by the Bull Sluice Dam. There is also a public boat ramp on the river below the dam.
In addition to hiking trails and fishing, there are numerous porch swings and covered picnic pavilions. The pavilions are first-come, first-serve, but permits are available from the city to reserve a pavilion for your group.
